Many pro-lifers wrongly assume that the abortion-minded woman is only thinking of herself. In my case, as in many others I know of, choosing the death of the baby seemed the best option when considering the already-existing lives of others.
Out of consideration of others, I took the life of my child.
So how can the pro-life world help women in such situations see beyond current circumstances to find a win-win option for all in their world? Thankfully, there are hundreds of options in most every state in America.
In Nebraska, for instance, organizations such as Nebraskans United for Life, Assure Women’s Center, Essential Pregnancy Services, The Collage Center and many, many more provide FREE services to help every woman in every way possible. They provide direction, provision, and can help with living situations, whether she chooses to raise the baby, or to place the baby with an adoptive family.
If you find yourself in this quandary, you don’t have to go it alone. God promised to “heal the broken-hearted and bandage their wounds,” and He sent a personal representative, Jesus Christ, to provide the bridge to other side and, He sent the Holy Spirit, who is the Comforter, Teacher and Guide. All we need to do is ask, trusting He will guide our steps.
